Trying to Find a good tweet
I'm trying to find a good tweeter (is that the proper term) for Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. There certainly is a lot of stuff to slug through. Still trying, though.

"My Knitting Book" by Frances Lambert
I recently downloaded this free Kindle ebook, which has tons of patterns and things, but no pictures. So what I plan on doing (maybe not as frequently as I'd like) is to knit up a sample of each design or stitch and post a pic here. I will label it, but there are no page numbers in the Kindle version, so I'm not quite sure what will happen there. Anyway, I'll be starting the first pattern "Siberian Cuffs" this weekend. Oh, and I'm not saying the yarn gauge and needle size will be quite what is called for in the pattern, but I'll try to stay true to it.

A Jane Austen Knits 2 possibility
Well, I think I've got a submission ready for the next Jane Austen Knits magazine. I wonder if there is a limit to number of submissions you can have? I'll have to check it out. Oh, here is a sneak of my submission.
And, no, that's not my kitty, it's just a pic from my son's cat calendar. (I wish it WAS my kitty!)

Thought I'd post my new coasters
I really love making these. So satisfying! The only thing that's a drag is darning in the ends, cuz I wait until I have a bunch to do. Maybe I shouldn't wait so long. . . lol.

Regency education
I've ordered some Regency era books from the library to educate myself a little bit more on the clothing that was worn during this time period. This will be really helpful for the designs I'm planning on submitting to the next Jane Austen Knits mag. I have some ideas already jotted down, I just want to make sure they are from the correct era.

New Stuff I got!! Wwhhheeeeee!
Here's my order from Knit Picks! I'm so excited!
And, yesterday, I got in my new Philosophy set! I'm going to use the Pomegranate in a Pear Tree First!
And, last, but not least is a sneak peek at my Nook Color cover, which will also fit the new Nook coming out later this month. This one has taken a bit of time to figure out to fit the dimensions of the Nook. I thought the Kindle one was tough! I think this one was tougher.
This is a tradition Guernsey pattern. Well, at least part of one. It looks really good in real life. Especially the cable.

I thought
I had hooked up my twitter to my blog, but it doesn't seem like it. I guess I'll have to look into that. Trying to work on the Nook Color cover, but it's not coming out quite like I'd like it to. I'll post a piccie later and maybe ponder it.

Here's a small peek at my new design
It's taken me a bit of time to find what would work with this crazy yarn. I've come up with a design called "Happy Mitts", and here's a quick look:
Isn't that a great yarn? Makes me smile just looking at it! Oh, and notice the Knitter's Pride Cubics double pointed needles. These are wooden, square needles. I have the shorter length (they were the least expensive). They feel great in the hands, and haven't really changed my gauge. The only complaint I have is that the size is printed on each needle, but it seems to be wearing off. I feel this might be a problem down the line, unless I specifically put them back into the envelope they came in, which also has the size printed on it.
